A small park in our neighborhood is next to a stream that’s somehow managed to survive among the landscaping and development. The bank was slippery, unpredictable and a little dangerous. Extra points for finding the corner I had to clone to get the framing right.

This isn’t a photo. This is 30 seconds of my life, wherein my young niece is doing her level best to stare me down. Some might have called it a staring contest, but it was no contest. I never stood a chance.
