A large tree fell the right way on my parent’s property, taking out another equally large tree next to it. After taking lots of pictures of the wreckage, I noticed this single leaf stuck in a long spiderweb.
Beach erosion and unusually high tides most likely created this small bay/lake/whatever, but most folks at the beach didn’t bother to cross it before dropping their chairs, buckets and umbrellas.
The picture had a nice short field of focus, but I pushed it in photoshop, plus blew out the light a bit. A little ghostly, and about as close to the spirit of Easter as I’ll prolly ever get.
These machines — these actual machines — are part of my earliest childhood memories. They’ve always been filled with cheap plastic treasures, and still offer new generations both disappointment and victory.
