Kyle Anderson

Kyle Anderson

Don’t try to adjust your monitor. Kyle Anderson needs only somber, simmering tones to accomplish his moody visual wizardry. Vibrant reds and yellows punctuate a dark, earthy brown haze, alternately illuminating and obscuring the forms of his unearthly characters and landscapes. Mr. Anderson’s enigmatic creations are beautiful, mysterious… and damaged.

In the dying light of a distant sun, there is precious little joy, but determination and resolve can offer a kind of comfort… a common comfort shared among beautiful humans, fierce beasts and malevolent machines. Perhaps Kyle’s characters dream of a land bathed in cool, alien hues of green and blue, while failing to take notice of the smoldering beauty of their own sepia stained world. At least we can admire it for them.

I focussed on the color, but yes… everything about Kyle’s work is awesome: his technical attention to detail, as well as the organic feel of even his machinery.
